Day 37-47

Good evening athletes

It’s been a long time without a post… I was absent the last couple days of school due to being sick and unfortunately the virus did not go away over the break. Monday’s workout will very difficult i’m sure because the only exercise i’ve had is walking back and forth from my bed and couch for the past 10 days.

See you all soon, xoxo

Day 36

Good afternoon athletes,

Working out sick is by far one of the hardest things to do. Lungs are burning, head is throbbing and you have a lot less energy.

WOD: 5 Rounds for time:

•30 Double Unders
•15 Knees to Elbow
•7 Shoulder to Overhead (95/65)

Finisher: 10 muscle ups

I finished the 5 rounds fairly quickly but struggled on the 10 muscle ups. I decided not to motify the exercise and just get through the 10 of the them. I finished with a time of 17:08.

off to the city, xoxo

Day 34

Good evening athletes,

It was a slow class today as we did not have the weight room available. Instead of working out we were supposed to be doing assignment 2 on nutrition.. Hopefullu tomorrow we can get back into the groove of a good work out since we’ve had so long to rest.

Day 33

It’s a Sunday with the sun shinning and snow all melted off the roads for a perfect time to go for a run. Anyone else thinking the same thing? Hope to see you taking advantage of the weather my fellow bloggers. Another shoutout to ‘S’ and King P for finishing 15.2 this weekend!

Day 32

Goodmorning athletes,

I am really enjoying CrossFit, today I woke up and worked on my technique for the movements Snatch and Cleans. From there I took a trip to the Canal for a skate and who knew that after 3 hours of skating in a straight line you’d get a better lower body workout then actually playing the game of hockey.

The Canal is melting so I recommend everyone go for atleast 1 more tour before it’s to late!

Day 31

Good evening athletes,

Broken necks, seperated shoulders and concussions were all going through my head when i saw and attempted the WOD.

Partner WOD: AMRAP within 24 minutes

(Alternate each round with your partner.)

• 10 KB Swings                                           • 1 Handstand Push-up

This was a terrible day for me in the gym. I have a fear of being upside down, really high or spinning. So when King P wanted me to do Handstand push-ups i was ready to run out the door. The modfication was feet on a box and in a Pike position which then you would do your “handstand push-up” which i was okay with. “Golden Boy” ans I were partners and knowing him he chose one of the heavier KB’s (53lbs). So it was a grind. After the 24 minutes we both completed 21 rounds each with a grand total of 42 rounds.

The weekend is finally here, but it feels different not having to go to Westport anymore. So untill next time, xoxo

Day 30

Good afternoon,

I thought it would be a good idea to catch up on a workout that i missed on Tuesday “15.1-15.1a” during my spare before lunch.

AMRAP: 9 minutes

• 15 Toes to Bar                                         • 10 Deadlifts (85lbs)                                • 5 Snatches (85lbs)

Determine Max Clean and Jerk: 6 minutes

This was a very disappointing workout for me as i couldn’t do the toes to bar. It took me over the first 3 minutes to  finish my 15 reps. I finished the workout with completing 2 full rounds and reaching a maximum of 145lbs Clean and Jerk.

This isn’t it though. That was just a catch up work out. I still have today’s workout to complete and my oh my did i regret doing my workout in the morning.

WOD: Chipper for Time

• Row 500m                                               • 50 Air Squats                                           • 40 Push-Ups                                            • 30 Hang Cleans (bar)                              • 20 Pull-Ups                                               • 10 Deadlifts (185lbs)                               • 20 Burpees                                               • 30 Front Squat                                         • 40 Box Jumps                                           • 50 Walking Lunges                                 • 400m Run

After 15.1-15.1a I was gassed. I gave this workout my all and completed it with a time of 16:28. I was surprisingly happy with my result, I never gave up on anything and just pushed myself both mentally and physically to help reach the completion of it.

I will sleep well tonight, off to a math test so untill next time xoxo,

Day 29

Good evening athletes,

Today our Board of Education  screwed up a little and sent us to school where we had no power. With this happening many students thought they would stay home and take another rest day… so for the ones that went had to join the Gr.9’s gym class.

Hopefully tomorrow we can get back on track and get a nice workout in.

xoxo,
